GEN2050’s Youth Biodiversity Network is a student collaboration across Miami-Dade County, Florida, created to explore, document, and investigate phenomena about the biodiversity in Miami-Dade County. The network of students, teachers, staff, families, and other collaborators uses iNaturalist to record organisms observed; find the Youth Biodiversity Network project here.

GEN2050 will host the Youth Biodiversity Summit during summer 2025 to showcase youth-led projects and case studies through presentations, panel discussions, and break-out sessions to foster knowledge exchange and inspire new approaches and directions for biodiversity conservation. Several National Geographic Explorers, scientists, and conservationists will share their work and encourage summit attendees to conserve and enhance the biodiversity of their communities.
